FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • More dogs end up being put to sleep due to behaviour than any other causes. Dog’s aren’t naturally designed to fit in to our human world, so it’s up to us to show them how to adapt and how to meet our expectations. Training also provides mental and physical stimulation and a happy more enriched companion.

  • Yes absolutely. We offer 1-2-1 puppy, adolescent and behaviour coaching in the comfort of your own home.

  • Yes, all dogs must have had their first and second vaccination before we can commence 1-2-1 training outside of the home and garden. If your puppy hasn’t had both vaccinations, we can still start training but in the home and garden only. We will need to see proof of vaccination prior to training.

  • No. If your dog is unwell then please contact us as soon as possible. Just like when we are poorly, we don’t feel up to much, this is the same for our dogs.

  • We work to a tight schedule and often have clients booked in ready to start when one course ends. Obviously we appreciate things don’t always go to plan both on our side and yours. If you can’t make a session, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to reschedule. Please note this may not always be the case and is subject to availability.

  • All of our training involves positive-reward based training. This means we will be using treats and toys and a good amount of them. Please ensure you have a good sized treat pouch and small bitesize treats for training. These can be a 5mm sized treat. Please ensure your dog has a collar and tag, a lead (no flexi leads) and we recommend using a ‘y-shaped’ front looped harness. We may advise you to purchase other equipment throughout the training.

  • Unfortunately we do not work with dogs who have shown true aggression. We will work with reactive dogs but they must not have made physical contact or caused injury to another dog or person.

For further help with aggression, please seek veterinary advice who can refer you to a behaviourist.
