We’re a Solihull-based training company run by Leanne Carmichael, who’s spent over 20 years working with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and stories, from Military Working Dogs and Assistance Dogs to Rescue Dogs and now, specialising in puppies and adolescent dogs.
At Paws Intuition, we believe great training is about teamwork, trust, and plenty of fun. Our calm, kind approach helps you understand your dog, build great communication, and enjoy life together. Whether you’re tackling first walks, recall, or those “selective hearing” teenage moments.
Training shouldn’t feel stressful or serious, it should feel fun, rewarding, and full of lightbulb moments for you and your dog. That’s what we’re all about.
Hey! I'm Leanne
I’m a qualified puppy and adolescent dog trainer and someone who genuinely understands how overwhelming puppyhood can feel.
I’m not a trainer who’s only ever worked with “perfect” dogs in controlled environments. Over the last 20+ years, I’ve worked with Military Working Dogs, Assistance Dogs, Rescue Dogs, pet dogs, and now specialise in helping overwhelmed puppy owners navigate real life with their dogs.
I know what it’s like to:
Feel exhausted by biting, chaos, and lack of sleep
Wonder why your puppy listens perfectly at home but “forgets” everything outside
Feel completely overwhelmed by all the conflicting advice online
Worry you’re getting things wrong
Dream of having a calm dog you can actually enjoy life with
And I also know that puppy training shouldn’t feel stressful, intimidating, or full of judgement.
That’s why my approach is calm, supportive, and focused on real life, not just teaching “sit” and “down” in a quiet classroom. I help overwhelmed puppy owners raise calm, confident dogs they can take anywhere by teaching practical skills that actually last in the real world.
Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just about training dogs. It’s about helping people enjoy life with them too.

I now have a rottweiler puppy and was desperate to get some training for him. He now sits nicely without me having to prompt him and has stopped hanging off my foot at last thanks to the puppy classes! Really useful class and the recall training has worked wonders for him! Would highly recommend leanne and the training she really knows her stuff! Also the online learning is really well put together and very user friendly! Many thanks xxxx
We contacted Leanne after we saw her on social media and we looked at her reviews and they were GLOWING! So we took the leap and signed up on her ultimate puppy course and Leanne has been amazing! The group sessions have been fantastic and our young goldendoodle pup loves them everytime. Leanne is very knowledgeable and i am so happy our pup is slowly turning into the lovely, well behaved dog, all thanks to the help of Leanne. I’ll be recommending to anyone i know who has a new pup! :)
We got in touch with Leanne after realising our trainer was NOT for us or our beautiful pup April. Adolescence hit us fast and hard... At 6 months our puppy turned into the Tazmanian Devil. Thank you Leanne for all your helpful knowledge with clear instruction. You really have made all the difference and it's so nice to see potential in our teen pup! Highly recommend.
